Plain-language insurance guidance
Practical answer
What insurance does my company need?
Start with the business, not a standard product list.
The short answer
Map what you own, what can stop revenue, who could be injured or suffer loss, what contracts require, and which events could threaten cash flow. Then match each exposure to a policy and test the gaps between policies.
What to do now
- 01List premises, stock, machinery, vehicles, data, people, contracts, and critical suppliers.
- 02Identify the largest credible property, liability, cyber, transit, and interruption losses.
- 03Separate legally or contractually required covers from discretionary protection.
- 04Ask your broker to produce a written exposure-to-policy map and identify uninsured risks.
